James Moody has lived and worked as a full-time musician on Catalina Island since 1990 and is the "first call" for live music, corporate events, weddings, and parties. As well as being known as the islands finest Jazz and Blues guitarist, his reputation is well known throughout the South West.

Before moving to the island James played live shows and recording sessions around Los Angeles while attending California Institute of the Arts, (Cal-Arts), in Valencia, California, and U.C.L.A. Extension for music recording and song writing.
